Our Mission

American Audio Theater's mission is to record and preserve significant works of literature in fully dramatized audio recordings (Audio Theater), to make these recordings accessible to the widest possible audience, and to expand the use of Audio Theater as a teaching tool.

American Audio Theater was founded in 2010 to promote and produce fully dramatized family friendly Audio Theater for a truly immersive experience that stimulates the imagination in a way that no other form of entertainment can do. We have produced a small but growing library of titles that feature some of Hollywood's best actors including Kevin Sorbo (Hercules, God's Not Dead), John de Lancie (Star Trek), Daniel Roebuck (Matlock, ABC's Lost, The Man in the High Castle), Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (Naruto, Critical Role), Virginia Hey (Farscape, Mad Max), Kyle Hebert (Wreck It Ralph, Dragon Ball Z), Bonita Friedericy (NBC's Chuck), John Billingsley (Star Trek), Reggie Bannister (Phantasm), Nancy Stafford (Matlock) and Joe Estevez (Apocalypse Now, All Things Catholic, Decker).

As part of our mission we are making our productions available - free of charge - to libraries, schools, churches, teachers and educators to use as a supplement to their classroom curriculum. American Audio Theater will continue to build on this unique resource with an evolving range of programs that bring an immersive Audio Theatre experience to a diverse audience regardless of geographic and economic barriers, including:

• Classic Series: Classic American Literature adapted to a radio-theatre style featuring award-winning actors.

• Children’s Bible Series: An audio drama series featuring stories from the Holy Bible. Performed in the style of the old-time radio plays from yesteryear, each fully dramatized story is professionally performed by some of Hollywood's best voice talent. A perfect teaching supplement for children’s ministries and Sunday school classes.

• Education Programs: Combining the power of professional Audio Theatre with the best features of digital technology to create arts-based educational tools that captivate students' attention while they learn.

• Audio Publishing: We distribute our works through our retail partners (like iTunes and Audible.com) and to more than 13,000 libraries nationwide.
